A Little Bit About Mrs. Campbell
I am the daughter of an Air Force pilot and a physical education teacher. I have one brother who is a loving and hard-working father to six beautiful girls, and a sister, who is a newfound member of my biological family, and a truly joyful mom of one girl and one boy. I'm a wife to a wonderful husband, and teacher of wonderful, bright, shining students.
I proudly graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2008, and returned to my hometown of Enid, Oklahoma where I stepped into my first classroom, teaching 9th grade English 1. I loved the students in that class and the excitement and ideas they had each and every day. I learned many things that year, and so did they. Together, we navigated the challenges of transitioning to becoming high school students, and I am still amazed at what strong adults those students have become.
Life led me to a new opportunity the following year in Tulsa, Oklahoma teaching in the exceptional Union Public Schools district. I had the pleasure of teaching two standard classes of 6th grade Language Arts and one class of Advanced Language Arts for the following two years. I enjoyed every minute with my students and peers, and wanted to dedicate myself to furthering my own knowledge so I could better serve them. I graduated from Northeastern State University with my Master of Education/Reading degree and spent four years as a Reading Specialist for Union's 6th grade reading students. Seeing their faces light up when they found a book that spoke to them was a true joy.
My husband and I got married in the fall of 2013, and we relocated to his hometown of Memphis, Tennessee where we have spent the last several years. The summer of 2021 was a very busy one. As an adoptee, I was fortunate enough to meet, for the first time, biological relatives including my birth-father and his family, and my sister on my biological mother's side of my family. It was a truly wonderful and welcoming experience, and I appreciate all the support from my mom, aunt, uncle, and husband.
I am proud to be a veteran teacher of 14 years and GHS Red Devil for a sixth year, and look forward to serving our students in English II, and also as sponsor of:
I have high expectations for my students and know each and every one of them can achieve those expectations. I'm looking forward to working with parents and students to make this year, and every year, a great one.
